In the first two months of this year, China has once again become the largest market for Vietnam's agricultural and aquatic product exports.

On February 28th, according to a report from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam's agricultural and aquatic product exports exceeded $3.4 billion in February this year, an increase of 5.7% compared to the same period last year.
It is expected that the total import and export value of Vietnam's agricultural and aquatic products in the first two months of 2023 will reach $11.99 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 16.8%. Of which, the export value is estimated at approximately $6.28 billion, down 22.5% year-on-year, and the import value is estimated at approximately $5.72 billion, down 9.5% year-on-year.
The report pointed out that in the first two months of this year, China has become Vietnam's largest market for agricultural and aquatic product exports again, with China importing $1.27 billion worth of agricultural and aquatic products from Vietnam, accounting for 20.2% of the total export value of Vietnam's agricultural products. The second-ranked market is the United States, with a total export value of $1.19 billion, accounting for 19% of the market share, followed by Japan ($563 million, 9%) and South Korea ($302 million, 4.8%), and others.
In February this year, Vietnam's major agricultural products exports reached $1.79 billion, a year-on-year increase of 25.9%. Among them, the export value of animal husbandry reached $29 million, an increase of 46.5% year-on-year; the export value of forest products was $870 million, a decrease of 10.7% year-on-year; the export value of aquatic products was $550 million, a decrease of 13.1%, etc.
