The ampullaria gigas is originally from the Amazon River basin in South America, with a thin shell and a lot of meat that can be eaten or used as high-protein feed. In the 1980s, it was introduced to China as a specialized cash animal for cultivation in the south. The ampullaria gigas has a large body, broad diet, strong adaptability, and fast reproduction, with a breeding cycle of just 60 days.
Once it enters natural waterways, it can quickly pollute the environment with its excrement and rapidly destroy the habitats of other aquatic specie. It also harms rice crops by affecting tillering, feeding rapidly and excessively, and causing significant reductions in rice yields.
Because the ampullaria gigas may carry parasites such as Angiostrongylus cantonensis, eating them without full cooking may cause angiostrongyliasis, seriously endangering human health.
Currently, the ampullaria gigas has widely spread throughout the large area south of the Yangtze River, with strong adaptability, and it mainly harms rice, causing significant reductions in production. It is still invading northward, penetrating deep into Jiangsu, Hubei, and other areas, causing a great threat to the safe production of rice, and the prevention and control of ampullaria gigas are therefore urgently needed.
Niclosamide is the only molluscicide recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). Silyali mainly contains niclosamide ethanolamine salt, is currently the most widely used molluscicide.

Recommended usage and dosage:

Trial Result:
Spraying 60g of Silyali diluted with 15-20L water can achieve a 90% control effect on ampullaria gigas in rice fields, 3 days after application, and has a significant effect on killing snail eggs.
3 days after application: All the snail eggs have died.
